shoe designed for everyday training. The Pegasus line has been one of
Nike’s most iconic running shoe families for decades, known for its balance of
cushioning, responsiveness, and durability. With the Pegasus 42, Nike continues
this legacy by introducing improved cushioning technology and a refined fit for
a smoother and more energetic ride. At the core of the shoe is a
full-length Air Zoom unit that runs from heel to forefoot.
This design delivers a responsive sensation and strong energy return with every
stride. The shoe feels lively and efficient, making it ideal for daily runs on
paved roads. Supporting this system is the new ReactX foam
midsole, which provides about 13% more energy return
than the previous React cushioning. The updated engineered mesh
upper is softer, lighter, and more breathable than previous versions,
ensuring long-lasting comfort and improved airflow during runs. Nike also
refined the shape of the shoe to provide more room in the forefoot and toe
area. Meanwhile, the durable waffle-pattern rubber outsole
offers reliable traction and flexibility on road surfaces. With its balanced
