and dirt trails with the Peg Trail 5. Equipped with an extremely responsive
ReactX foam midsole, this shoe is soft on the road, stable on the trail and
better for the environment. It's a true all-rounder, waiting to bridge the gap
between trail and road. Support for the planet ReactX foam reduces the
midsole's carbon footprint by at least 43% compared to previous Nike React
foams. This also helps support the planet. It offers you an incredibly smooth
feel and +13% energy return compared to React foam, keeping you fresh and
springy during your run. Dry feel We've placed technical mesh with a tighter
weave in high-wear areas like the toes to give you better coverage when the
weather turns nasty. The upper is also made from specially designed open-mesh
fabric for better breathability. Flywire fibres integrated into the lacing
system support the midfoot for a secure fit. Traction in all directions Less
rubber on the outsole ensures a smooth transition from road to trail and
protects the full-length React midsole. It also wraps around the front of the
shoe for added durability. The generative traction pattern combined with rubber
in the forefoot provides extra grip on technical trails and a smooth ride on
the road.
