The Altra FWD Via 2 is the consistent evolution for all runners seeking maximum
cushioning combined with high efficiency. With an impressive stack height of 33
mm in the forefoot and 37 mm at the heel, this shoe offers a plush running
experience that shows its strengths especially on long distances. New in this
version is the Altra EGO™ P35 midsole foam, which is 19% softer and 15% more
responsive compared to the predecessor. This innovative foam mixture ensures a
light and efficient push-off with every step. Despite the high sole, the shoe
maintains a natural rolling behavior through its 4 mm drop. The updated
engineered mesh upper guarantees excellent breathability, even during intense
sessions in the summer. An updated, padded tongue significantly increases
step-in comfort. Thanks to the Original FootShape™ fit, the FWD Via 2 offers
the familiar generous space in the toe box. Weighing approximately 301 g
(men's) or 247 g (women's), it is a robust companion for daily high-mileage
runners. The rocker geometry of the sole supports a fluid transition from
landing to push-off. This shoe is aimed at neutral runners who prioritize joint
protection without wanting to sacrifice dynamics. It is excellent for marathon
preparation and long recovery runs on hard surfaces. The outsole is
strategically reinforced to ensure high durability. Experience a new dimension
