The enhanced comfort comes from the FLYTEFOAM™ midsole material coupled with GEL™ cushioning technology in the heel. This model is equipped with a DUOMAX™ support system that provides a more stable ride. The placement of the foam on the medial side of the midsole provides a stronger density that prevents the foot from turning inward too much (overpronation). The lug pattern of the outsole is made of ASICSGRIP™ rubber, while the tread pattern for uphill and downhill running on the lateral and medial side of the shoe improves traction on slippery terrain. Additionally, a stone protection plate helps keep the outsole flexible and protects the foot from abrupt terrain or scree.
